THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD TEAMUP THAT NEVER HAPPENED...

I know I tweeted about this; but for those of you not following, this page was from an issue of BATMAN THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD that was prematurely canceled before I could finish. I was having a lot of fun designing and drawing Animal Man for this incarnation of the character.
The word on the street is this title will be restarted at another publisher. No word yet on whether I'll be asked to contribute. I sure hope so, it was so fun to work on and with people like J. Torres and Dan Davis, to name a few.

Awesome Animal Man, Andy! I do hope you'll contribute to the new book; your contributions were what drew me to the one that was.

Sorry this issue didn't make the cut...especially since I knew that people were bummed that AM couldn't be animated due to a rights thing, and this was the next best option for him. Do hope that it does get published, if publishers switch over- looks really great!

(Btw, met Tom Kenny at Comic-Con and we chatted about Plas and the pilot you two did! Such a nice guy!)

Heartbreaking that we won't see this in print, Andy - what are the chances of them running it as an extra in a future trade?

Also, your pencils are *beautiful*.

Hey Jon, thanks for the kind words. Yes, I would love to continue working on this book. It has really been fun.

Morgan! I didn't realize there were rights issues--although not surprising.

And definitely, TOM KENNY is the nicest person in show business. Hands down. And probably the biggest wealth of knowledge concerning golden age comics and the like.

Hey Dan-o. Chances are extremely slim to zero. I didn't even get a chance to finish penciling the issue, let alone inking, color and such. I think they are "wrapping up" this volume of the series with my Aquaman/Ocean Master story. I'm curious to see it finally in print as it was the first one I did completely digital. Plus, Cave Carson's in the opening teaser!

Definitely hope they utilize you for the DCU B&B...your touch on the Inferior Five bit (and more) would be a very welcome turn.
