Hey Andy.. I re-read the CB trade today.. I have to say that I think CB reads much more smoothly when I skiped the those box's that describe a ton of stuff & just read the characters words.. You may want to reduce or kill them completely in the future..
I'm buying the hell out of this.
Hey haven't posted in awhile, how's things? Just finished Charlatan Ball, love in short amazing run, sir, CAN NOT WAIT for the second season. And the description boxes I enjoyed the most since you don't see that too much in comics today. That Amok Tee shirt is next in this journey of joy.

As per the narrator (those tiny boxes Modhip was talking about); could it be the difference of the UNseen narrator versus the seen...? I'm typically a fan of hearing a character's interpersonal dialog--as well as the sort of host or usher, ala Uncle Creepy, The Crypt Keeper, etc...the unseen voice in Charlatan Ball would probably be that closer to the creators--like how we sort of pop in and out in those hyper-reality panels. Yes, there was naked woman and balloons behind us in one scene.
It's a fun story with amazing art; I agree
